Dr. Andy Cruz, DCChiropractic PhysicianI take great pleasure in assisting others through chiropractic! Your trust and confidence is well placed with me. My approach to health and healing is truly holistic. How I work with any individual is based on their subjective symptoms and their body’s physical presentation. My examination draws heavily from the physical evaluation of the human body. I try to make sense of muscle patterns and reflexes. My evaluations often involve not only an observation of the spine and its muscles, but also of the entire nervous system. My understanding of your condition (or complaints) focuses strongly upon the physical body. I also draw a great deal of information from my patients through thorough questioning of various physiological systems in their bodies and their subjective experiences as they relate to symptoms. For example: sleeping patterns, dietary patterns, and energy patterns all may assist in piecing together a greater picture of your health and wellness. For some patients it may be necessary to undergo lab analysis of blood, saliva or urine depending on their complaints. My mission in working with any patient is to enrich their lives by enhancing their bodies function and health through an integrated, holistic approach to healing. This may involve: physical medicine such as chiropractic, diet and lifestyle modification, or rehab/corrective therapies. I graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in 1999. My undergraduate degree is in Molecular Biology from Humboldt State University. I studied yoga and underwent teacher training with the Kundalini Research Institute. I have developed professionally over the years by taking courses through various credentialed programs/schools in neurology, nutrition, endocrinology, immunology, and autoimmune function. These disciplines have strengthened my conviction that the body benefits from a holistic approach to healing and therapy. My personal and professional experiences have created an approach to health and healing that acknowledges a respectful connection between one’s mind, body and spirit. I believe healthy living involves attention to all three areas. Patients involved in acute-trauma injuries, sports injuries, as well as chronic pain have sought my care. I look forward to helping you, and each of my patients, heal and learn more about their health. |
